I don’t give advice
I believe you know yourself and what's best for you better than any professional ever could. I want to help you learn to trust yourself again! I will never tell you what's best for you, however... |
However, I don’t leave you to figure it out alone I’m a very engaged therapist, which means I will challenge you and help you connect dots that you may never have even considered are important. I won't just sit in silence the whole session. I like to think of us as partners. |
|
I dig deep! While we will always go at your pace, I don’t encourage staying on the surface during therapy. I think it’s a waste of your time and money. Healing happens when you safely face the hard stuff. But with that being said... |
I don’t believe therapy should be retraumatizing Many people avoid therapy out of fear (possibly from bad experiences with therapy in the past, and I get that). There are ways to face the past without retraumatizing your system and I strive to help you find that balance so that it feels like relief rather than pain all over again. |
